The death has been announced of Alhaja Sikirat Abeje Ajimobi, mother of the executive governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi. She died at the age of 85.

According to a release signed by the Special Adviser to Governor Ajimobi on Media, Dr. Festus Adedayo, the late Alhaja Ajimobi joined her ancestors in her home in Ibadan on Wednesday after a brief illness.

The late Alhaji Ajimobu She would be interred in Ibadan on Thursday at 2 p.m. at her husband’s house, Johnson Awe Street, Apata, Ibadan.

Until her death, she was a renowned trader, devoted Muslim and community leader. She was survived by nine children.
